My mate is an apprentice Auto mechanic, he was or I think still is restoring an XY I havent spoken to him in a while. He picked some new EFI V8 of some kind, as a retro tech build up. He is entering it in the Summernats out here next year hoping to take out some titles....such as best retrotech restore

Ah ok, sorry....my bad I guess you learn something new every day.  Definitely Not that many in Canberra, I was heaps cut when the Club I used to go to turned into a Gay and Lesbian joint...I had not been there in a month or so and as I walked past it had changed I kept on walking.

I've had to explain this one too many times.... Basically, a hot rod in progress, or a race car. You know, the ones that if you scratch some paint off, it's ok, cuz you have a can of primer in the trunk???

Right....I think understand now, so as long as the motor has been worked to the shit house it doesnt really matter what car it is? or there a specific range of cars that you classify schlockrod. I could be the ultimate street sleeper then, shit on the out side (no offence) but could rape the shit out of a lot of cars.

most of the ones i've seen are 32-71 although i think the only real reaosn those are the years is the "rod" reference u could be shlockrice maybe
