Nevermind, found it. Can't tell for certain because of the crappy sound digitization but it sounded like on the first run he had that engine going well over 8000 rpms. some one cant drive. stangs can rev 6500 + rpm but not that high of a rpm when he finaly hit the nitrous

He hit the nitrous at low rpm, cuz it surged up and then busted. Maybe the guy had aftermarket internals and stuff to keep it safely revving to what he did the first time?

probably jus removed the rev limiter and let it fly. didn't sound to very "safely" done. it's sad it had to happen to the car, but they guy deserved it.

I doubt that he would have revved that high without some sort of mods, thats just plain asking to throw a rod.

Well it blew up because of the nitrous shot, not because he overrevved it. If you want to see over revving, theres a video of a guy with a turbo Gsr that goes well beyond 11K rpm.

okay, i was searching for gsr and acura and couldn't find it, and there it was in front of my nose. thanks man. that sure as hell didn't sound good moving that fast. that's into pro racing numbers, like NASCAR.
