Back a couple weeks ago a nissan i believe NX or something like that pulled up next to me and my friend was in the car with me so i was like im gonna take him. So when the light changed i left him there and like 2 mins down the road it widens for a turning lane and he goes and passes me and the car in front of me but my friend laughed, he was like damn it took him that long to catch up.

well i don't know about double but imports r much faster, the jap engines r made to go fast and the japs now how to do it, but some of the imports cost much more for parts, then the non-imports.
the jap parts don't last as long as normal parts.

I drive an import and I am going to say that, there are some shit hot local cars (here any way) Commodores running 308's that would rape the shit out of the rice boy punks out here. An example is my mates, killed a 1995 Del Sol or CRX out here that was modded up and shit. As I am an import driver my self I have to say that that statement is just plain incorrect

yes, the commodore engines r very strong and can beat alot of cars if u put the right stuff on em

What I was trying to bring across was that the statement that was said that any cars other than imports need to be twice the power than them....My mate had mildly worked his engine and still rapes all the little Imports out here....CRX/Del Sols, Silvias (s13 turbos), and others. And his car would be no where near twice that of the imports

well as i think i said before it's the way the engine is made that why, and u don't need much to make a commodore get moving, like the 5.7 all alloy V8 or the 3.8 litre supercharged V6 or a HSV stock
