Well, there isn't much to do in a desert.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

k, F-350 on the side. not bronco? and to top it off those look like camper specials instead of suv/trucks like the bronco unless custom fabed.

look a little closer, 350 is only on the side of one of the trucks. That is correct for that year. c150 is on the side of the other truck when they begin badging them differently.
That truck is about as bronco as bronco gets because it is a bronco. An f350 and in the case of my second one an f150 and a bronco were chopped in half and welded together - literally. That is the back half of an actual bronco for both trucks. Basically a bronco on a full one ton and half ton frame. So custom fabbed? uhm yeah. here is a pic of the seam where they were welded together on my 88' :

Well, considering that there are approximately 3 litres to a gallon, you are paying only 20 cents more than we are. A big country such as the US should be paying less, but our foreign policy and corporate corruption has screwed us into paying a ton. When congress was grilling the guys over at OPEC, gas went down to $2.05 for 87 at Costco. A week later, it went up 27 cents. I guess a week is all it takes to bribe all of congress.

Actually it is closer to 4 litres in a gallon (approx 3.79). And it has more to do with corporate greed than it does foreign policy. Consider the fact that all the oil we currently drill out of Alaska (where they claim more oil drilled would go to us) gets sold to Japan. The reason being that they make more money that way, and fuck the US economy and its dependence on "foreign" oil (another falsehood, considering that in almost all cases the oil companies make money from the drilling of "foreign" crude before they sell it to themselves to refine it into gasoline).

Well, the thing is you pay a lot more tax on your gas than we do. Here in CA we pay about 12 cents per litre in taxes (including sales tax), whereas I believe the amounts in most European countries usually run closer to 30 cents or so for all the taxes (I could be wrong, but if so it is a case of mistaking different countries). But those high prices are why in other countries there are more high performance small cars than there are in the US, rather than just huge engines.

The taxes are listed on the pump. We pay 10 cents for every gallon for county taxes, 8 cents for national tax, and 15 cents on california state tax. I saw this shit and collapsed.
