go to a junk yard and find a buick turbo and have it rebuilt, it doesn't cost all that much. then fab up some brackets and duct work and get an intercooler. i would think it'll run around 1000 for everything if you look in the right places.

just call a local turbo shop, if you don't have one, i do. i'll put you in contact with him if you need it.

then you find yourself a turbo exhaust manifold, bolt the turbo to it, use pvc pipe for the ducting, get it all set up with the intercooler and all, then back to the throttle body...THEN, take all your pvc pipe off, take it to a local muffler shop that has a mandrel and have them bend you some steel pipe to match your pvc mockup.

game over. if you need more help, email me: jason@orionoutdoor.com

also, why not just deck the piss out of the head, have it ported and bowl blended? easy power, on the cheap. not much thinking involved on your part. it would probably be easier than engineering a turbo.

what kind of compression does the car currently run (stock)?

do you have a backup car to drive while you build this one to at least get out of its own way? i'm asking these questions so i can try to point you in a direction that will make the car faster, on the cheap. but i need to know how long you can go without the car running.

those engines fit nearly perfectly in the old dodge omni econobox cars. makes them VERY VERY fast. and you can find a NICE dodge omni (if there's such a thing) for under $300 these days.
