Here's what i'm thinking about doing for my s-10:
Take out the stock ricealbe shit and throw in some real power.
Big Block or Small Block, I may be able to go both ways.
Either way It will get a th400 with manual valve body shiting.
Small Block: 383
Dart pro1 alumin heads 240cc worked to like 300 with 2.3 intakes and 1.72 exauhsts.
Billet roller cam at something around 650 lift and 290 duration on both sides.
compcam needle bearing steel roller rockers @1.61 ratio
JE dished 7:1 compresion ratio forged pistons
bowtie block .30 over
lunati 4340 forged 3.75" stroke crank
manley cryogenicly treated forged h-beams 6.0" instead of 5.7"
high rise dual plane manifold with a 1250 dominator to feed it
and a 400-600 shot thats somewhere in a heaping pile of shit in the garage.
Big Block: 509
Aluminum chevy D-port heads, worked
2.25 intakes and 1.94 exausts
compcams custom roller @ .670 lift and 289 duartion on the intake, 286 on the exauhst
crane 1.75 aluminum needle bearing roller rockers
JE 13:1 compression ratio 4.500 pistons
bowtie chevy block
forged stock stroke chevy crank
manley foged h-beam 6.0" rods
victor jr. dual tunnel ram with worked 850's on the top
everything na
I'm just looking for some input anybody have any ideas to what would be best for me since it will be my cruzer and not a daily driver. Both engines should have comparable hp. Just wonderin what would be more enjoyable a sleeper smallblock or a nasty big block.

then i'd have to do alot of chasiss work so it can take it, plus i don't know if my dad would let me drive it after we do that. It would end up being his s-10

Naw, it was a stroker. It was nice. I regret selling it, *sniff, sniff, whimper*. I think i had the most fun with that little truck and regret not having engine pics cause it looked, just plain sexy with that 383 nestled between those fenders.
