;-) backpressure charachteristics.... both evidently spelled wrong. well, hot rod magazine had an article called 'passing gas' a while back with an orange troy trepanier nomad on the cover. great article, it's a start and has references to more sources on the subject at the end of the article.

ask him why he's trying to figure out backpressure without an engine. i mean, you need to have an engine to have any idea how to manage your backpressure and/or how much backpressure you will need (that's a big fuck you to goad from me regarding the injectors ;-)

i spelled backpressure charachteristics right numb nuts, what year and month was that artical featured in hot rod mag? oh you think thats a big fuck you to me? well heres a fuck you two times over back to you, i need some info on back pressures seeing that im trying to design a header that doesnt collect in to one and what affects that will have on a high compression motor in general, key work in general, as in im not trying to fine tune any thing to the motor i havent built but a general idea on what specs and factors i need to build upon when makeing a header design like that

sounds like a big project. i'm not sure the month, but i do know that the way flowmaster tests backpressure & flow waves is to use an audio oscilloscope to actually measure the frequency of the soundwaves. that was well discussed in the article, but what frequencies are the best was not.

from what you describe the article would be great for you to start off on. it's at my house. i'll have to go find it. i could probably photocopy it or scan it up into the computer.

HOWEVER, you can also go to hotrod.com or whatever their site is and download it from them. search for 'passing gas'
