nah, 98's the best. well, it is in the uk. we HAD to put windoze millenium on ours, and it sucks.

Windows ME is just 98 with a bunch of useless crap thrown in to waste memory, it's the most bugiest version there is. XP is so stable, I love it

I have XP Professional and i've been running it (with a few of my own modifications) since before it was released to the public... I have had ONE problem since i received it... and I took care of that problem... (the problem was that my friend's power surged while i was updating my system and it made my power supply literally explode and cut the computer off which is NOT good to have happen while your updating the system... I could have fixed it without re-installing XP, but i was too lazy and just re-formatted and re-installed the OS...) other than that XP has been nearly perfect for me... it has had a few problems with some of my hardware, but i've taken care of all of them except for one which isn't XP's fault...
Windows 98 and ME were the two WORST operating systems in the history of computers... 98 was total crap... 95 was faster and more compatible... ME was based off 98 when it should have used the NT5 (windows 2000) kernel, but they couldnt because win2k has problems detecting older hardware and was only available on an OEM basis on new computers to businesses... ME was worse than 98, if thats possible.. its not compatible with anything and crashes more often than 98...
It was until I got XP Pro that I was a die-hard Linux fan... before that I had 98 and I wouldnt go anywhere near ME... i got pissed off at windows and nuked it off all my systems and isntalled Slackware Linux... either 7.0 or 8.0... after I got XP Pro I installed it on one of my systems and soon got rid of linux from all my computers... I now run Win2k Advanced Server on all of my server computers (just as stable and more compatible with the web programming i like to use, ASP)...
ok.... enuf of my M$ spiel... XP is a good operating system and 98 and ME BLEW.... but Microsoft is still the devil
