I just wanted to know some tips for good starts for racing because I am a noob. I drive a 2000 Toyota Celica GT automatic. I know manual is better but beggars can't be choosers. Any good start methods???

With an automatic you arent going to be able to do anything for a good start. When you drop it into drive from neutral it will either spin or lag out on you, unlike being able to balance the power on a clutch.

Do you think it would be worth it to have my transmission changed? I know its costly, but I'm willing.

Not usually, your probaly better off selling your car and with the money you would have done the swap with buy a Manual car.
