Well there's holes in your story so let me break it down for you. for one in 4th gear at 65 miles an hour your not doing dick and you sure as hell aren't taking it to redline. next your third gear goes to 90MPH so you didn't take it to readline. My wife has the same car with 3 bolt-ons and I run 16.6 @ 85MPH so I'd run mustang and make you feel dumb with the same car your dogging. then there's a HUGE difference in feel of torue from a 1.6Liter motor to a 4.6 or 5.0 depending on which stang you have. and your redline is 7,200....see that's why Domestic drivers will never know how to drive an import because your use to shifting @ 5,500. see imports get they're power from the higher Rpms and that's why there called high revving motor and also why there killing domestics in Horsepower per liter. hence a 5.0 with 250HP? maybe and a RSX with a 2.0 with 200? don't be scared you can hold the pedal for about another 1,000rpms it's something to get use to I'm sure the sound and the feel is something totally different.

The thing that seperates us from you guys is you think burning tires is cool and you being thrown back in your seat and feeling like your going real fast in you stang....compared to moving just as fast just a lot higher in the Rpm band with the lack of feel of the torque. but dude believe me I've ran 17.3's with 17 inch rims...hell I have the same motor in my hatch and ran 15.4 @89.5MPH just a little more bolt ons...it's engine to weight ratio and you guys will never understand. You want to put the biggest motor in you car as possible and be fast when we just take advantage of weight. hell it only takes a honda 2.0l's to run in the 12's and you need? 5.7? 7.0???? it's all good though becuase it's the same goal in the end and that's to go fast! Sorry I just hate in when no one stands up for imports in here.

I don't think he was ever dogging on imports, I do agree that he probobly wasn't used to the feel of the Civic. I can totally see that, I drove a friends car with a 350 and it wes worlds apart, like you said torque all the way, it felt better getting back into my higher revving honda, (just my opinion).

haha i dont know shit bout hondas... all i know is that it was a silver 2 door ex.... 5 speed... and that it wouldnt go any faster than 65 uphill... and i was in 4th gear.... shifted 1..2..3..4.. at redline which appeared to be around 7k..... and the car has about 95000 miles on it...

One thing that makes me love muscle cars with v8 motors nomatter what the engine displacement, even though they are heavy as hell... the sound... v8 exhaust is like music to my ears and a boner in my pants..... And just the sheer power of a worked v8.... its great....

I forgot where i was goin with this but yeah... i will always appreciate how america did it in the past, more than foreign countries are doing it now.

I will eventually do whatever weight reductions i can with my car in the future... not much i can do now... right now my goal is to hit 250 horses with this shit RV cam and 8.5:1 compression ... haha plus im only 16

first off, he's got a friggin cleveland 2bbl engine that puts out about 160 horse.

we can all get along. it is possible. i'm living proof. i own both domestics and imports. there is no difference. imports can build torque too. lots of it. especially when you put six pistons in a row.

my friend has a 98 civic ex. he just about shat his pants when i showed him what it'd do about 3 grand. he had never revved it that high afraid it would hurt the engine.

It's also not so much that 4 bangers don't make torque, they live in torque at higher RPM's in relevense to the HP and weight.

im a domestic driver and shit i can drive an import a hell of a lot faster then you can and it doesnt matter if your shifting a desil at 2500rpm or a built honda at 9500rpm its only a shift, don't start speaking for all imports you need to specify your bull shit some stock Porsches don't go over 6800rpm, and also you can be thrown in the back of the seat in a honda but ive guess you havent built a 13 sec car yet huh my bad
