Hello,
For those of you that have done this, where is the best place to start to make my '67 bug faster? There are too many fart cans running around here and i want do something different with my bug.
There is no substitute for cubic inches, except for cubic centimeters!

Instead of messing around with those VW tin can engines, why not just swap ur engine with one from a porsche? my pops did it with his ghia.
Feel the power fo the new Renesis Rotar engine.

Porsche=over glorified VW
It is the same concept at half the price, kind of like the difference between building a Chevy vs a Mopar.
There is much more availble 4 cylinder wise to get better hp gains from the VW than the Porsche.

Ok, you have 40 mm Kadrons (wooo) and a huge header. How about some other details? SP or DP, heads, cam, etc. Are you going to change the trans or blow out the spider gears on your first burnout?

Right now it is the stock 1600 that came in the '67, the heads have the single inlet (SP?) and everything else is stock. I'm getting a 110 cam for it, does that come straight out of the block? Eventually I want to increase the engine size then build the trans up. Right now I have the Kadrons on it but I need a different distributor since they dont have vacuum port for mine.
