It has been my luck that my eldest brother has come upon an Rx-7 Spirit R just in time for us to find a new project car. This was a lucky find seeing as how it was only 20K, and its imported (special thansk go out to K at premier for getting us such a great great deal) Our plan? To take this car as far as it can possibly go, while keeping it street legal. Timeframe you ask? Im leaning towards a month or so, but schedules go get screwed up.All i can say right now is the first thigns doen will be an HKS turbo upgrade *not street legal but give us a break* and some new injectors and hoses, possibly seals if need be. Ill keep you posted.

man... i must be thinking of a different car... the rx-7s that i know usually go for around $3grand or so with pretty low miles...

are the new RX-8s badass? I haven't had a chance to get to a dealership to check 'em out... are they even available to the public yet?

The Rx-8 is pretty badass. I believe it has a little more horsepower then the Rx-7 had turbo, so its good all motor, just not very much torque coming out of that 1.3 litre Pepsi can, lol.

hey man did you here about the big scandal type thing w/ the rx8? they did the same thing they did w/ the miata. because of said scandal, no it doesnt have as much power as the rx7 (FD at least). too bad though. cant wait until they bring out a turbo edition! not to mention the new '05 RX7.

If they do come out with an 05 Rx-7, im gonna call ditech.com and get a loan out on my house! Ive never owned an Rx-7 or even driven one. The one we have now isn teven mine cuz my bro paid for it. Only time ive been in an Rx-7 is passenger seat on the way to sell ti to some other guy =( u can bet your ass ill give whatever it takes to get a brand new Rx.

We jus finished purchaisng a few new parts, all from GReddy. We got a Greddy T88 Turbo Kit, a Greddy CAT-Back Exhaust witha high flow Cat, a greddy type 19r intercooler, a Greddy Turbo timer, and hoses from K, but i haev no idea what brand they are, i dont question free stuff. Were working on getting some tires, a lighter kit, and some engine accessories.

Please dont say this is $4000 worth of stuff for 40hp. Is all this going on a Rotary? Ive heard that if take off the air cleaner on one of those you gain like 150 hp.
What is a lighter, besides something to light a cigarette with.
