Hey everyone new to the forums. Right now im driving a Nissan Setra 1.8S. I really dont like it too much, mainly cause it's a automatic. I was thinking about trading it in for 1 of 2 cars... a '93 3000GT or a '96 Talon ESi. Both cars are Manual and cost the same. What are your opinons

I think you should take the 3000gt, but first what trim is it? if its the base or SL its rear wheel drive, which is better than the talons front wheel drive. I dont know how much power the 96 Talon ESI has so i cant compare them in power. Personally i just like the 3000gt better.

By looking at the picture, im pretty damn sure thats not a talon, its an eclispe, i know they share a close resembalence, but thats an eclispe from its looks. I still prefer the 3000gt to both those others.

But did you read the details? the 3000GT hasnt passed inspection... how much do you think it will cost to makes the repairs.

The Talon and Eclipse are IDENTICAL.

Thats too many miles on a Mitsubishi for me to feel safe even looking at it. Assuming that its just the "bulbs" that need to be replaced, and not the entire lights, you can look at spening maybe $100 on repairs or more. 3000GT's have the same problems that Eclipses do with the timing belt breaking, but you can look at spending thousands in repairs due to it being a "sports car"

so than if the 3000GT seems a bit unrealistic, which of the other 2 do you think would be sutible, i want to get into upgrades once i graduate and do a little racing in the next 5 years

3000GT is expensive and shitty, while the Talon is inexpensive and shitty. You will have the same problems with both, but the 3000GT will give you more of what you want. It only puts out 160hp out of a 3.0, (base) and 218 out on the SL and unless your getting a VR4, your wasting your time.

VR6 Passat is nothing special. I drove one around for a while, and it sounded and felt like a damn diesel. Its purely a commuter car. Get a VR6 or 1.8T Jetta instead.

both are non turbo but the talon is a 4 and the 3000gt is a 6 the 3000gt is gona have more hourse power whail the talon is gona be better 4 gas...prices are getting so damn high ...lol i would go with the 3000gt tho ..if it was up to me

The 3000gt puts out 10 (yes ten) more horsepower than the Talon does. The 3000gt just beats it in terms of torque. I would go with the Talon for building, and the gt for something that looks fast.
