i've been interestedin import racing for a while but am finally able to start. what should i buy?
Civic, 3000gt, eclipse or what else are my options?

This proves that ricers are prone to hype. Every time one of those idiots comes on here asking what car they should buy, they always lump civics and eclipses with 3000gt's and supras. I refuse to tell you douche bag.

Why not make it interesting and buy a Yugo? Seriously though, if you've been interested in import racing for a while you should know just about every option there is. If you want real advice on what to buy, tell us more about your situation (my guess is you are 16 or 17) and what YOU LIKE.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

I think you should get the 3000gt. There fast and are easy to get parts for.

That statement is false. The parts are mildly limited, and OE parts are limited, especially for VR4.

The new civic looks okay, and it is supposed to be the best civic to hit the road, but I'd still be wary of it till Some people tune it to see what it'll do.

If you go with the Civic.. Cool Cheep to fix up, many many parts available.. all look the same after awile.
3000GT .. Nice, Expensive, And Stand out nicely.
Eclipse.. Cousin had one.. kept blowing crap on it, many parts, kinda like the civic.
I dunno I'd go for something like AE86 or Datsun 510 But hey thats just me.

nice. that was the last year of the lightweight Zs.we had one of those growing up, but it was sold before I got my license. still bitter about that one.

that's what Z's 240 actually is. and just about any "nissan" made before the mid 80s.
