No. Acura is Honda's luxury line of vehicles (in the united states only). Outside manufacturers are only allowed to have so many dealerships in the United States, so Honda (and Toyota with Lexus and now Scion) took the opportunity to separate itself from the Acura name to make it more prestegious. Acura is not American Honda, because we still have Honda's, its just that in the rest of the world there is no such company as Acura.
